Yugen Blakrok is a South African rapper from Queenstown, South Africa. She began emceeing in Yeoville, Johannesburg, in 2007 with the Recess Poetry crew. In 2009, she joined producer Kanif the Jhatmaster's label Iapetus Records and released her debut album Return Of The Astro-Goth in 2013, which earned her three nominations at the 2014 South African Hip Hop Awards and led to her first international tours. Her breakthrough came with her performance on âOppsâ alongside Vince Staples for the Black Panther soundtrack, produced by Kendrick Lamar. Her second album, Anima Mysterium (2019), featured collaborations with South African artists and Kool Keith. She has also contributed to soundtracks for Cyberpunk 2077 and other prominent projects.
