Yoeko Kurahashi, born Septemberâ¯20â¯1976 in Japan, is a Japanese singer who began her musical career after graduating from Aichi Prefectural High School in Meiwa, Nagoya, with a focus on music. She released her debut EP 礼 on November â¯23, â¯2000, followed by the album å©¦äººç¨ in 2002 and æ±äº¬ãã¢ã in 2004, establishing a presence in the Jâpop scene. In 2005 she signed with BabeStar and continued to issue annual releases, including Tadaima (2005) and Iroiro (2007), the latter featuring the single "Son To Uso" (2007). Her single "åéã®ãã" (2008) marked a later return to recording. Kurahashi announced her withdrawal from the industry on Aprilâ¯30â¯2008, releasing the final album Dismantle the Piano on Juneâ¯4â¯2008 and embarking on a farewell tour that concluded on Julyâ¯20â¯2008. After a 15âyear hiatus, she resumed activity on July â¯1⯠2023 under the name Yoeko, issuing new material such as New Yoeko (2023) and New Yoeko II ~Rhapsody~ (2024). Her career has been noted for consistent yearly output and a dedicated fanbase within Japanâs pop music landscape.
