Biography

Lily Chou-Chou, a Japanese pop music group, was created in 2000 as part of an online novel by Shunji Iwai. The band's initial music was produced for the film All About Lily Chou-Chou, directed by Iwai, and featured collaborations with Salyu and Takeshi Kobayashi. Their debut single "Glide" was released in April 2000, followed by "Kyōmei (Kūkyo na Ishi)" in June of the same year. The group's album Kokyū was released on October 17, 2001. In 2010, for the film's 10th anniversary, Lily Chou-Chou reformed as a three-member band featuring guitarist Yukio Nagoshi and released the digital single "Ether" on December 8, 2010. The group performed live at Nakano Sun Plaza Hall later that month.
