Biography
Witch Mountain, an American doom metal band from Portland, Oregon, was founded in 1997 by drummer Nathan "Nanotear" Carson and guitarist Rob Wrong. The band released their first EP, Homegrown Doom, in 2000, followed by their debut album, ...Come the Mountain, in 2001. Throughout the early 2000s, Witch Mountain toured extensively with notable acts such as Spirit Caravan and Weedeater. After a hiatus from 2003 to 2008, the band returned in 2009 with Uta Plotkin joining as their lead singer. In January 2010, they recorded South of Salem, which was released later that year. Their track "Veil of the Forgotten" featured on Adult Swim's Metal Swim sampler. Witch Mountain continued to release albums, including Cauldron of the Wild (2012), Mobile of Angels (2014), and Witch Mountain (2018).
