Biography

Joseph Matthews "Wingy" Manone, born on February 13, 1900 in New Orleans, Louisiana, was an American jazz trumpeter, composer, singer, and bandleader. After losing his right arm at age ten, he began playing professionally with various bands in New Orleans. In the 1920s, Manone traveled across America, working in cities like Chicago and New York.
