John Wallace "Wally" Fowler, born on February 15, 1917 near Adairsville, Georgia, was an American South gospel singer, manager, music promoter, and businessman who founded the Oak Ridge Quartet. Fowler released albums such as Pray, Pray, Pray! For The U.S.A. (1962) and Victory Thru Jesus (1965). He popularized allânight gospel sings and composed the standard "Wasted Years". Subsequent releases include John Wallace Fowler âMister Gospel Musicâ Sings Pure Country Gospel (1976) and John Wallace Fowler Sings A Tribute To Elvis (1977). Fowler died on June 3, 1994 after a heart attack while fishing at Dale Hollow Lake.
