Vladimir Janevski (27â¯Novemberâ¯1960â¯ââ¯28â¯Juneâ¯2026) was a Macedonian pop singer, songwriter and guitarist born in Skopje. After playing drums for local bands in the 1970s and 1980s, he launched a solo career with ParÄe DuÅ¡a (1993) and Se Najdobro (1996). His breakthrough came with the single "Ne Zori, Zoro" (1998), which won Skopje Fest and earned him the countryâs first Eurovision entry, finishing nineteenth in Birmingham. Vlado Janevski wrote most of his material and was known for his romantic lyricism. In 2023 he signed an exclusive deal with the Croatian label Menart. He died in Skopje after a brief illness on 28â¯Juneâ¯2026 and was buried on 1â¯July at the Butel cemetery.
