Biography
Full name Tea TairoviÄ-Vardaj, Serbian singer Tea TairoviÄ was born in Novi Sad, former Yugoslavia, on April 26, 1996. Revealed by the young talent show Zvezde Granda during the 2015-2016 season,, the former ballet-trained professional dancer made it all the way to the finals and signed with the Grand Production label. After releasing several singles in the Balkan turbo-folk style, the singer scored her first hit in 2021 with the track "Hadje", a modern cover of a traditional wedding song that racked up around a hundred million views. This song and the following one, "Na jednu noÄ ", entered Billboard's brand-new Croatian Songs chart in 2022. The same year sees the release of Tea TairoviÄ's debut album, Balkanija, followed by Balerina in May 2023 and Tea in May 2024, charting at No. 39 in the Austrian charts. After a duet with Azis on the track "Katastrofa", the song "Ãok Güzel", taken from the album Aska, reaches both the Austrian charts (no. 35) and the Croatian song chart (no. 15).
