Biography
Veronika Harcsa, born on October 8, 1982 in Budapest, Hungary, is a Hungarian jazz singer and composer. She studied at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, graduating in 2008, and later earned a master's degree from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in 2014. Harcsa began her career by forming her own jazz quartet and releasing her debut album Speak Low in 2005. She gained recognition performing at the Budapest Fringe Festival in 2007. From 2004 to 2010, she was a member of the Erik Sumo Band. Harcsa co-founded the band Bin-Jip in 2010 and recorded the album Enter with them. Her work includes collaborations with notable artists such as Nicola Conte and Attila László. She composed music for films like Lost Times and Plastico. Harcsa received the Hungarian Fonogram Music Award for You Donât Know Itâs You in 2009.
