VerÃ³nica Judith SÃ¡inz Castro, known professionally as VerÃ³nica Castro, was born on October 19, 1952, in Mexico City. She began her career at 15, studying acting under AndrÃ©s Soler and appearing in photonovelas like Citas y Chicas. Her breakthrough came with the telenovela Los ricos tambiÃ©n lloran (1979), where she sang the theme song "AprendÃ a llorar". This role brought international recognition. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Castro released albums including El malas maÃ±as (1981) and Esa mujer (1989). She also hosted late-night shows and reality television programs. In the 2000s, she was awarded an Emmy for her contributions to Latin American television.
