Biography
Known for his 2021 hit "Until I Found You", American singer-songwriter Stephen Christopher Sanchez was born in El Dorado Hills, California, on November 3, 2002. Based in Nashville, he made a name for himself on social networks in 2020 with his cover of Cage the Elephant's "Cigarette Daydreams", which earned him over a hundred thousand listens. Invited by Jeremy Zucker to produce his studio version of "Lady by the Sea" after hearing his cover on the fly, Stephen Sanchez is offered an artist's contract by Republic Records and works with producer Ian Fitchuk to record his debut EP What Was, Not Now (2021), followed by the track "Until I Found You", which proves a global hit ranking #23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on Hot Rock & Alternative Songs, among other chart positions worldwide. Invited to appear on prime-time TV shows, the performer sings his hit alongside Elton John at the Glastonbury Festival, after creating another version as a duet with Em Beihold. In 2022, Stephen Sanchez produced the unrated duets "2000 Miles" with Gatlin and "Missing You" with Ashe. The title track of his second EP Easy on My Eyes (2022), "Until I Found You" is also featured on his debut album Angel Face (2023), including the duet "No One Knows" with Laufey and the singles "Evangeline", "Only Girl" and "Be More". Rated No. 90 on the Billboard 200 on its release, Angel Face appears at No. 64 in the UK. In 2024, his track "Baby Blue Bathing Suit" was included on the soundtrack of the film The Beach Boys: Music from the Documentary. It was followed the same year by a version of "Silver Bells" and in 2026 the singles "Sweet Love", "Love, Love, Love" and "Chuck the Money", heralding the release of her second album, Love, Love, Love.
