Biography
Born in Nashville, Tennessee on November 3, 2002, Stephen Sanchez is a pop singer best known for his Top 40 hit single âUntil I Found You.â He became interested in music at a young age and started posting songs on social media as a teenager. In June 2022, his cover of Cage the Elephantâs âCigarette Daydreamsâ became a viral sensation, and he began to attract more attention. After posting several more covers and original material, he was contacted by singer-songwriter Jeremy Zucker, who was impressed by the song âLady by the Seaâ and wanted to produce a studio version for him. While the single was not a commercial success, it caught the attention of Republic Records, who signed him to the label. Stephen Sanchezâs next single, âKayla,â was followed by the 2021 EP What Was, Not Now. Continuing to build a following via social media, he finally achieved commercial success with the release of his 2022 single âUntil I Found You,â which was an international hit. While the single reached Number 23 on Billboardâs Hot 100, it fared better outside the US and reached Number 1 in Malaysia, number 5 in the Philippines, number 8 in Australia, and number 14 in the UK. Stephen Sanchez recorded several versions of the song, including a collaboration with fellow social media star Em Beihold. One year later, he released his first full-length album, Angel Face, which reached number 90 on the Billboard 200.
