Biography

Uriel Lozano is an Argentine singer of cumbia santafesina born in Santa Fe on June 22, 1981. He began singing in local groups including Sol Latino and Swing before joining Grupo Trinidad in 2000 as the replacement for Leo Mattioli, a role that brought him into the front rank of romantic cumbia in Argentina. After that period he developed a solo career with a steady album run that included En Vivo (feat. Grupo Trinidad) in 2006, Hasta Allá en el Cielo in 2007, Sólo Dios Puede Juzgarme in 2013, Hay Más de Mí and El Romántico Más Caliente in 2014, Como Nunca in 2015, Homenaje a Leo Mattioli and Ese Tipo Soy Yo in 2016, Grabaciones Inéditas in 2017, Éxitos de Oro in 2018, Diferente in 2019 and Insaciable in 2021. Across that catalog he became closely associated with songs such as "Hagámonos de Todo," "No Me Olvides" and "Quién Pudiera," while later releases and live sessions kept him active in the Santa Fe tropical circuit.
