Biography
Rodrigo Tapari, born in Monte Grande, Argentina, on December 21, 1983, made his mark in tropical music as the lead vocalist of Ráfaga for 14 years before embarking on a solo career in 2017. He first gained attention in 2002 through the reality show Popstars, which led to his selection as the new frontman of Ráfaga, replacing Ariel Puchetta. With the band, he recorded albums like Vuela (2004) and Dueños del viento (2006), but it was the massive success of "Una cerveza," a song he co-wrote, that propelled Ráfaga to new heights. After leaving the group, Rodrigo Tapari debuted as a solo artist with singles such as "Y para qué sufrir" and "Que ya no me llame," performing across Latin America and Europe. His acoustic project Ãntimo (2018) earned him a nomination for Best Tropical Male Artist at the Premios Gardel. In 2019, he released his first solo album, Es tan grande este amor, and continued expanding his reach with collaborations alongside MarÃa José Quintanilla, Verónica Ãvila, and Walter Encina. Beyond music, he has participated in Argentine reality shows like Cantando por un sueño and Showmatch La Academia, further solidifying his presence in the entertainment industry. 2020 saw the release of the live LP En Vivo Teatro Gran Rex, followed by collaborations with Chaqueño Palavecino (2022's "Es Tan Grande Este Amor"), Marama (2023's "Dame un Besito"), and The La Planta (2024's "Muero de FrÃo, la Historia").
