Norwegian songwriter and producer Stig Joar Haugen (August 2, 1990), aka Unge Ferrari, aka Stig Brenner, merges hip-hop and R&B sounds and marked himself out as one of Scandinavia's most inventive young artists with his debut album in 2018. Growing up in the small town of Hamar, he started rapping in his teens and learned his lyrical skills from local MC Larsiveli. Before he moved to Trondheim to study music, he befriended Arif and signed to label Nora Collective. His 2015 single âLianerâ became his first radio anthem in 2015 and he worked with Tomine Harket on âHvis Du Vilâ (2015) before dropping the albums Til Mine Venner (2015) and Romeo MÃ¥ Dø (2017), both crammed with electro-rap tunes. Debut album Midt Imellom Magisk og Mannish arrived in 2018 and the single âBalkongâ mixed classical piano melodies into an eerie, auto-tuned R&B ballad. He also formed MARS with Arif and Karpe Diem and worked with Ylva Olaisen and Lars Vaular, and was nominated for Album of the Year at the Norwegian Spellemannprisen Awards in 2018. Following the release of the standalone 2019 single âKDVPM,â featuring Hkeem, he inaugurated the new decade with a battery of singles that included âBla bla bla,â âLukten Av Høst,â âAtlantern,â and âNÃ¥r Alt Ikke Er Nok,â which featured vocals by Swedish pop diva Molly Sandén.
