Biography

Tuff Darts was an American punk rock band who gained early traction at CBGB in New York City. The original lineup included Robert Gordon on vocals, Jeff Salen and Bobby Butani on guitars, John DeSalvo on bass, and Jim Morrison on drums. Their breakthrough came with songs like "Slash" and "All for the Love of Rock and Roll", which became their biggest single. After changes in personnel, they released their debut album Tuff Darts! in 1978 on Sire Records. The band disbanded shortly after but reunited in 2002. Jeff Salen, the band's founder and lead guitarist, passed away on January 26, 2008. In 2011, Tuff Darts performed with a reformed lineup in and around New York City.
