T.T.MA, a South Korean girl group formed in 1999, emerged from the Republic of Koreaâs burgeoning Kâpop scene; the five members-Soy, Queena, Juhae, Semi, and Ujin-joined Music Factory after training. Their debut single "My Baby" introduced the group, followed by the In The Sea album in 1999, which solidified their presence with tracks such as "Loner" that later appeared in the dance game Pump It Up. In 2000, the group released the I Wanna Be... album. A landmark moment occurred on January 25, 2001, when T.T.MA and labelmates NRG signed a contract with a Latvian concert promoter, making them the first Kâpop act to tour Eastern Europe in June. Despite speculation of a third album, the group disbanded in 2002; Soy continued as a VJ, and in 2007 Ujin issued a solo single while the group briefly reunited for a Christmas single in 2007.
