Rotem Or, known professionally as Totemo, was born on October 13, 1985, in Tel Nof Airbase, Israel. As a child, she moved between air force bases due to her father's military service and began posting songs online at a young age. In 2003, during her mandatory military service, Or released her first EP, Lightly Easy, under the independent label Fact Records. Her debut album, Hard Magic, was self-produced in 2012 and received significant media attention both locally and internationally. Totemo's subsequent releases include the EP Desire Path (2016) and the full-length album Everything Happens Only Once (2019), which featured collaborations with producer Roey Avital, percussionist Ran Yaakovovich, and saxophonist Eden Barkat. Throughout her career, Totemo has performed at various international festivals, including the Milege World Music Festival in Entebbe, Uganda, and Zandari Festa in Seoul, South Korea.
