Biography

David James Ford (born 16 May 1978) is an English singer-songwriter and guitarist from Dartford. Ford achieved prominence with the indie rock group Easyworld, which released the mini-album ... Better Ways to Self Destruct and two studio albums. After the group disbanded in 2004, he began a solo career. Ford released the debut recording "State of the Union" in 2005, followed by the studio album I Sincerely Apologise for All the Trouble I've Caused. Ford released the album Songs for the Road in 2007 and the album Charge in 2013, which reached number 30 on the UK independent Album Chart. Ford performed at festivals including Bonnaroo and Austin City Limits and opened for artists such as KT Tunstall and Elvis Costello. Ford's 2008 single "I'm Alright Now" was adapted by Johnny Hallyday as "20 ans", which won Best Original Song at the Victoires de la Musique in 2014.
