Biography
Maritime, an American indie pop band formed in 2003 after the dissolution of The Promise Ring and The Dismemberment Plan, emerged from the collaboration of Davey von Bohlen and Dan Didier, with Eric Axelson joining thereafter. Releases include the Adios EP in 2003, the album Glass Floor in 2004, We, the Vehicles in 2005, and Heresy and the Hotel Choir in 2007; the latter featured "Guns of Navarone". In 2010, Maritime departed Flameshovel, signed with Dangerbird Records, and issued Human Hearts in 2011 and Magnetic Bodies/Maps of Bones in 2015, accompanied by the video for "Satellite Love." The band toured, supporting acts such as The Weakerthans.
