Toralf Louis Tollefsen, born on August 26, 1914 in Glemmen, Norway, was a concert accordionist. He began his musical journey studying with Ottar E. Akre. In 1947, Tollefsen performed as a soloist with a symphony orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall. Throughout his career, he built an international reputation, touring extensively in Europe, the United States, Australia, and South Africa. His contributions to music were recognized with the jury's honorary award at the 1977 Spellemannprisen Awards, Norway's prestigious music accolade. Tollefsen passed away on November 27, 1994, in Oslo. A posthumous album, Verdensartisten Toralf Tollefsen (The World Renowned Artist Toralf Tollefsen), was released by Norild Records to commemorate his 80th birthday in 1994, featuring recordings from 1934 to 1960.
