Biography
Jason Diakité, aka Timbuktu, is an award-winning hip-hop and reggae artist and radio presenter from Sweden who draws on blues, folk and Caribbean influences. He began rapping in the 1990s and had a stint with a band called Excel. His debut album 'T2: Counter Culture' came out in 2000. Other albums include 'Oberoendeframkallande' which topped the Sweden Albums Chart in 2007. 'Sagolander' (2011) reached number two and 'För Livet Till Döden' peaked at number four. He has collaborated with several other acts and features on Snoh Aelegra's track 'Like I Used Too' which came out in 2017.
