Timothy J. Kasher, born on August 19, 1974, in Omaha, Nebraska, is an American musician known for his roles as a singer and songwriter. He began his musical journey with the formation of Slowdown Virginia in 1993, which released one album, Dead Space, before disbanding in 1995. Kasher then formed Cursive with Matt Maginn, Steve Pedersen, and Clint Schnase, releasing two albums before going on a hiatus. Upon returning, Cursive added Ted Stevens and cellist Gretta Cohn, achieving critical success with The Ugly Organ in 2003. Kasher also initiated the Good Life as a solo project in 2000, releasing Novena on a Nocturn. The Good Life became a full band in 2004 with the release of Album of the Year, and continued to produce concept albums like Everybody's Coming Down in 2015. Kasher's solo career includes The Game Of Monogamy (2010) and Adult Film (2013).
