Biography
Three Man Army were a British hard rock ensemble from England active between 1970 and 1974. The group was established by Adrian Gurvitz and Paul Gurvitz. Their recording career began with the debut studio recording A Third of a Lifetime (1971), which featured Buddy Miles and Mike Kellie. Tony Newman joined the ensemble for the studio recordings Mahesha (1973) and Three Man Army Two (1974). After Newman departed to perform with David Bowie, the Gurvitz brothers established the ensemble Baker Gurvitz Army with Ginger Baker. Their discography includes the compilation Soldiers of Rock â The Anthology (2005), which featured the previously unreleased recording Three Man Army 3.
