Anita Blay was born in 1985 and is a British-Ghanaian singer and songwriter. Adopting the stage name CocknBullKid, Blay released the debut single âOn My Ownâ (2008), followed by performances at the Glastonbury Festival and on Later... with Jools Holland. In 2009, she signed to Moshi Moshi through Island Records and released the EP Querelle. Her debut album, Adulthood (2011), featured production from Liam Howe and contributions from Gonzales and Joseph Mount. Spin magazine and Michael Cragg of The Guardian named it one of the best albums of the year. Blay is a member of the duo Antony & Cleopatra and the collective Kommunion. Songwriting credits include Little Mix's âHairâ (2016), OneRepublic's âStart Againâ (2018), and Neon Jungle's âTroubleâ (2013).
