Biography

Welsh indie rock band, The Tubs formed in London in 2018 with three former members of Joanna Gruesome: Owen Williams (vocals), George Nicholls (guitar) and Max Warren (bass). The line-up, completed by Matthew Green on drums, stood out from their predecessors with its taste for jangle pop straight out of the 1960s, and made its mark in 2021 with a debut EP for the Trouble in Mind label, entitled Names. Two albums in the same vein followed, Dead Meat in 2023 and Cotton Crown in 2025, with new drummer Taylor Stewart.
