Biography

The Security Project, an American cover band, was formed in 2012 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Peter Gabriel's album Security. The group initially focused on performing Gabriel's early progressive repertoire from his first four solo albums. Notable members included drummer Jerry Marotta, who had played on some tracks of those albums and toured with Gabriel for a decade, guitarist Trey Gunn, formerly of King Crimson, and guitarist Michael Cozzi, previously of Shriekback. In October 2016, Happy Rhodes joined as the lead vocalist, expanding their repertoire to include songs by Kate Bush. The band released several live albums: Live 1 in May 2016, Live 2 in October 2016, and Contact in 2017. Their studio album Slowburn, released on May 3, 2019, featured the single "Here Comes the Flood."
