Biography

Kino, whose real name is Kang Hyung-gu, is a South Korean singer, songwriter, and rapper. Born on January 27, 1998, in Seongnam, South Korea, Kino debuted with Pentagon under Cube Entertainment on October 10, 2016, serving as a vocalist, dancer, and rapper. He quickly gained recognition for his exceptional dancing skills and musical contributions, co-writing and composing several of Pentagon's hits, including "Shine," "Naughty Boy," and "Daisy." In addition to his group activities, Kino ventured into solo performing and released the special single "Pose" on August 9, 2022, which peaked at number 15 on the Korean charts. After leaving Cube Entertainment in 2023, Kino established his own agency and continued to pursue his solo career. On May 2, 2024, he released his debut EP, If This Is Love, I Want a Refund, which included the singles "Fashion Style" and "Freaky Love." The EP reached number 26 on the charts.
