the peggies were formed in 2011 in Kawasaki, Kanagawa, Japan, by vocalist and guitarist Yuuho Kitazawa (born Decemberâ¯2â¯1995) alongside bassist Makiko Ishiwata (born Augustâ¯27â¯1995) and drummer Miku Onuki (born Aprilâ¯23â¯1995). The trio debuted with the single "Sputnik" in 2016, followed by the album ã¹ãã¼ãã㯠/ Love Trip on Octoberâ¯19, 2016, which established their alternativeârock sound. In 2017 they released the EP BABY! Their 2019 "ã»ã³ãã¡ã¼ãã«" was a commercial success that entered the Oricon singles chart. In 2021 the band issued the compilation MMY. The group signed with Poppo Express and later Epic Records Japan, expanding their distribution. After a national tour titled the peggies tour 2022 My White, the band announced an indefinite hiatus in Julyâ¯2022, with the final tour concluding in September of the same year. In Julyâ¯2024, Yuuho Kitazawa announced a solo project under the name Q.I.S., marking a new chapter for the former frontwoman.
