Saucy Dog, formed in 2013 in Japan, emerged from the collaboration of vocalist and guitarist Shinya Ishihara, bassist Kazuki Akizawa, and drummer Yuika Seto, who had honed their craft in local venues before officially debuting. The bandâs first public offering was the extended play Country Road on 24â¯Mayâ¯2017, which introduced their blend of Jârock and mainstream rock sensibilities. In 2018, the single "çæ¼ã®æ" and the album ãµã©ããã¤ãº expanded their audience, followed by the 2019 releases Stand By Me and the album Blue Period, the latter featuring the hit "Cinderella Boy" that surpassed 540â¯million streams by 2021. Subsequent albums Take Me (2020), Lazy Sunday (2021), ãµãã¼ããã« (2022), But Really (2023), and ã¯ãããã (2023) maintained steady chart presence, with "Yasashisa ni Afureta Sekaide" reaching the top ten on the Japan Hot 100. In 2024, New Gate was released on 18â¯December, following with Curry Rice in 2025.
