Biography

The Mustangs, a British blues‑rock group formed in Hampshire in 2001, were founded by lead guitarist and vocalist Adam Norsworthy and blues harp player Derek Kingaby after a spontaneous jam at the Fountain Pub. Their first breakthrough came when they won the Eel Pie Club's Search for New Blues Talent competition in 2004. The band’s debut studio album, Let it Roll, was released in 2003, followed by Rocking Horse in 2004 and Split Decision in 2006. The group received multiple nominations at the British Blues Awards, including Best Band in 2010, and the album Shaman And The Monkey (2011) was voted Best UK and European blues rock album by the Blues Underground Network in 2012. Through extensive touring across the UK and Europe and performances at festivals including Glastonbury and the Isle of Wight, they established themselves as a prominent presence in contemporary British blues rock.
