Biography

The Meatmen, an American punk band, formed in Lansing, Michigan, in 1981. The original lineup included vocalist Tesco Vee, guitarist Rich Ramsey, bassist Jim Forgey, and drummer Mr. X. Their recorded debut came with the song "Meatmen Stomp" on the 1981 compilation EP Process of Elimination. In 1982, they released their first EP, Blood Sausage, followed by Crippled Children Suck later that year. Vee relocated to Washington D.C., leading to lineup changes and a shift towards a heavier metal sound. Notable albums include War of the Superbikes (1985) and Rock 'N' Roll Juggernaut (1986). The Meatmen disbanded in 1988 but reformed in 1993, releasing albums like Toilet Slave (1994), Pope on a Rope (1995), and War of the Superbikes II (1996). They disbanded once again in 1997 but reunited in 2008 and continue to tour and record.
