Biography
The Mary Onettes, an indie rock/dream pop band from Jönköping, Sweden, were formed in 2000 by Philip Ekström (vocals, guitar), Henrik Ekström (bass), Petter Agurén (guitar), and Simon Fransson (drums). In 2004, they secured their first record deal but were dropped without releasing any material. They later signed with Columbia/Sony BMG and released their debut EP Make Me Last in 2005. After signing with Labrador Records, The Mary Onettes released their first EP on the label, Lost, in 2006. Their debut full-length studio album, The Mary Onettes, was released in 2007 and received positive critical acclaim. In 2013, The Mary Onettes released their third album, Hit the Waves.
