Why Bonnie is an American indie rock band originating from Austin, Texas. The project was initiated by songwriter Blair Howerton in 2018 and later expanded into a four-piece group. Their first release, the EP In Water, was dedicated to Howerton's brother Bristol. Later that year, they released their second EP, Nightgown. In February 2020, Why Bonnie signed with Fat Possum Records and released their single "Voice Box," followed by an EP of the same name in April 2020. Their debut album, 90 in November, was released on Keeled Scaled in August 2022. The band's musical style is characterized as shoegaze-icana with pop influences.
