Biography

The Lucky Nine, a rock and metal group from London, formed in 2001 when Daniel P. Carter composed songs for his band A that did not fit the album's concept. Initially, Carter and Richie Mills recorded demos, inviting various guest vocalists, including Colin Doran. Doran's contributions led to a full collaboration, and The Lucky Nine was completed with Jason David Rowe and Ben Doyle joining. Their debut EP, The Lucky Nine EP, was released in March 2005, followed by their first full-length album, True Crown Foundation Songs: Hymns Of History And Hidden Ritual, in September of the same year. The band toured extensively, including performances with Hell Is for Heroes and Bloodhound Gang. Their music, influenced by Deftones, Fugazi, Tool, Refused, and Biffy Clyro, is described as post-hardcore with metal and rock elements.
