Biography
Jordan Cardy, known professionally as Rat Boy, is an English indie rock and hip hop musician from Chelmsford. He began his professional career by releasing home-recorded songs on SoundCloud, notably his debut release, The Mixtape (2014). Cardy signed with Parlophone in early 2015 and was subsequently named Best New Artist at the 2016 NME Awards. He achieved an international breakthrough when his track âKnock Knock Knockâ (2017) was sampled by Kendrick Lamar on the song âLustâ. His debut studio album, Scum, was released (2017) and reached number 15 on the UK Albums Chart. In 2017, Cardy supported Liam Gallagher on a solo tour of the United Kingdom. His subsequent discography includes the studio albums Internationally Unknown (2019), Suburbia Calling (2024), and CRASH! (2026). Cardy has also contributed music to the video game Cyberpunk 2077 under the moniker IBDY.
