The Lost Brothers, an Irish musical duo consisting of Mark McCausland and Oisin Leech, formed in 2008 following the disintegration of their previous bands. Prior to forming The Lost Brothers, Leech had appeared on Arctic Monkeys' cover of "Baby I'm Yours", released as a B-side on Arctic Monkeys' single "Leave Before the Lights Come On". McCausland was the lead guitarist in The Basement, signed to Deltasonic Records. The duo began their career with extensive recording and touring, releasing five albums between 2008 and 2018. Their debut album, Trails of the Lonely, produced by Mike Coykendall and Adam Selzer, was released in 2008. In 2010, they recorded their second album, 2011's So Long John Fante, with producer Colin Elliot, receiving positive reviews from The Irish Times, Hot Press, and the Irish Examiner. Their third album, The Passing of the Night (2012), was recorded in Nashville with Brendan Benson as producer and released by Readymade Records in the U.S. and Lojinx in Europe. In 2014, they released their fourth studio album, New Songs of Dawn and Dust. Their fifth album, Halfway Towards a Healing (2018), recorded in Tucson with producers Howe Gelb and Gabriel Sullivan, was released to critical acclaim from publications like Mojo, Uncut, Record Collector, and Q Magazine. In 2020, they returned with their sixth album, After The Fire After The Rain.
