Roy Charles Forbes is a Canadian folk singer-songwriter born on February 13, 1953, in Dawson Creek. Performing under the nickname âBimâ, he began his career in 1971 in Vancouver. He appeared as an opening act for Santana and Supertramp. His recording âCan't Catch Meâ, from the studio album Kid Full of Dreams (1975), reached the top 10 in several Canadian markets. His album Thistles (1978) was produced by Emitt Rhodes. In 1984, he toured the United States with Ferron. Forbes began performing under his real name in 1987 and was a member of the group UHF. His discography included the albums Love Turns to Ice (1987) and Edge of Blue (2020). He began hosting the radio program Roy's Record Room in 2006. His songs were recorded by Sylvia Tyson and Garnet Rogers.
