Biography

Bryan Sutton, born 1973 in Asheville, United States, is a guitarist known for flatpicking style. He joined Karen Peck and New River in 1991 and moved to Nashville in 1993. Sutton first gained prominence as lead guitarist for Ricky Skaggs’ Kentucky Thunder in 1997 before joining Hot Rize in 2002. His solo discography began with Ready To Go (2000), Into My Own (2014), The More I Learn (2016), and Live At The Legion (2025). Sutton earned IBMA Guitar Player of the Year awards from 2000 to 2006 and again from 2011 to 2016, and received a Grammy Award in 2007 for Best Country Instrumental Performance.
