Biography
The Loading Zone was an American rock band from Berkeley that was active between 1966 and 1971. The ensemble was founded by the vocalist and keyboardist Paul Fauerso and originally included the bassist Bob Kridle, the drummer Ted Kozlowski, and the guitarists Peter Shapiro and Steve Dowler. They performed their first major concert at the Trips Festival in 1966. In 1967, the ensemble added the lead vocalist Linda Tillery and signed with RCA Records. Their debut eponymous studio album, The Loading Zone, was released in 1968. After disbanding in 1969, Fauerso reformed the group with a new lineup to release the studio recording One for All (1970). The ensemble disbanded in 1971 but returned in 2005 to record the album Blue Flame.
