Riverdogs was an American hard rock band formed in 1989, led by Rob Lamothe. Lamothe began his musical journey singing in a traveling choir and later started playing guitar at age 16. He joined the band Aircraft in the mid-1980s but left due to internal conflicts. In 1988, he was invited to join Riverdogs by their drummer, who had also been part of Aircraft. The band's self-titled debut was released in 1990, produced by Michael Frondelli and featuring Vivian Campbell from Whitesnake. Their single "Toy Soldier" reached number 26 on the US Mainstream Rock Charts in June 1990.
