Biography
Formed in 2019, Idle Lies is a British rock band from North Wales. Made up of Shantanu Kundu (vocals, guitar), Sam Leonard (guitar), Joe Green (bass) and Lucas Pidgen (drums), they made a name for themselves with indie rock and pop songs featuring catchy melodies and choruses such as "Two's a Crowd" (2021), "20" (2022) and "Shameless " (2024). In 2025, the band released the Christmas charity single "Next Christmas You'll Be Home", the proceeds from which were donated to The Walton Centre Charity, following the hospital's treatment of a friend of the band. Immediately popular on listening platforms, the track backed by The Holy Name Choir reached No. 22 in singles sales and No. 18 in downloads.
