Biography
The Jodimars was an American rock 'n' roll band that was formed in the summer of 1955, consisting of Joey d'Ambrosio, Dick Boccelli, and Marshall Lytle. The trio left Bill Haley & His Comets over a salary dispute and signed with Capitol Records later that year, releasing their singles "Well Now Dig This" and "Let's All Rock Together" in 1955. In 1956, they performed in Las Vegas showrooms. Despite leaving Capitol and recording for smaller labels without success, they continued touring until disbanding in 1958. The Beatles recorded their song "Clarabella" for BBC Radio in 1963. In 1987, the band reunited for a series of concerts in conjunction with a simultaneous reunion of the original members of Bill Haley's Comets. Marshall Lytle died on May 25, 2013, followed by Dick Boccelli on July 12, 2019, and Joey d'Ambrosio in 2021.
