Biography

The Jack Wharff Band is an American bluegrass and country band from Richmond, Virginia. Originally known as Jack Wharff & the Tobacco Flatts, the band features Jack Wharff (vocals, guitar), Evan Novoa (guitar), Ryan Atchison (bass) and Garrett Howell (drums). At the end of 2024, the group, renamed The Jack Wharff Band, signed with Big Machine Records and recorded the singles "Burnin' It Down", "Richmond City Jail", "Picture Perfect" and "Messed Up Kid", a mix of country rock, folk and bluegrass. In 2025, the track "Washed " preceded the release of the EP Richmond's Most Wanted, which reached number 13 in the bluegrass album charts.
