Biography

The Insyderz were an American Christian ska-punk band from Detroit, Michigan. Formed in 1996 by Joe Yerke and Nate Sjogren, who led worship together at their church, the band gained attention at the 1996 Cornerstone Festival. Their debut album, Motor City Ska, was released in 1997 under Brainstorm Artists International. The Insyderz's breakthrough came with Skalleluia!, a contemporary praise and worship album that charted on Billboard’s Hot 200 and Heatseekers charts and won the band a Dove Award for Hard Music Recorded Song of the Year in 1999. The band released several more albums, including Fight of My Life (1998), Skalleluia Too! (1999), and Soundtrack to a Revolution (2003). Despite disbanding in 2005 after their final show on September 24th at the I'll Fight Fest, The Insyderz reformed in 2009 and released The Sinner's Songbook in 2012.
