Biography

Hailing from Mont-de-Marsan in the Landes department, The Inspector Cluzo is a French rock band with a wide range of influences. Formed in 2008 by Laurent Lacrouts (vocals, guitar) and Mathieu Jourdain (drums), the duo enjoyed immediate success with their debut album The Inspector Cluzo (2008), particularly in Japan. In 2012, two years after the release of The French Bastards, the Montois duo released their third opus, The 2 Mousquetaires, still funk-oriented with touches of garage rock and blues, even hard rock, not devoid of a certain humor without being the driving force behind it. In September 2013, the album Gasconha Rocks was accompanied by a book and DVD documentary retracing the stage adventures of the two Gascons. The same is true of Rockfarmers (2016), which continues the adventure of these rockers turned gentlemen farmers, both beasts of the stage on tour and producers of foie gras behind the scenes. The duo continue in this raw, rural vein with albums We the People of the Soil (2018), Horizon (2023) and Less Is More (2025).
