Shaka Ponk are an alternative rock band from France whose music draws on elements of electronic, funk and hip-hop. Formed in Paris in 2004, their debut album 'Loco Con Da Frenchy Talkin'' came out in 2006. Other releases include 'Bad Porn Movie Trax' (2009), 'The Geeks and the Jerkin Socks' (2011), 'The White Pixel Ape' (2014), which went to number two on the France Albums Chart, and 'The Black Pixel Ape' (2014), which reached number four. Their 2017 release 'The Evol' peaked at number six on the France Albums Chart. Tracks include 'My Name is Stain', which went to number eleven on on the France Singles Chart in 2012, 'Wanna Get Free' (2014) and 'Wrong Side' (2017). They have performed in America and released several music videos via their online channel 'Monkey TV'.
