The Hours is an English rock band formed in London in 2004 by musicians Antony Genn and Martin Slattery. Before establishing the group, Genn played with Pulp and Elastica, while Slattery was a member of Black Grape; both worked together in Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros. The band released their debut album, Narcissus Road, in February 2007, which reached number 47 on the UK charts. Their second studio album, See the Light, followed on April 20, 2009, featuring the single âBig Black Holeâ. The Hours received critical support from Jarvis Cocker and Zane Lowe. Their song âAli in the Jungleâ achieved commercial success through its inclusion in the FIFA 08 and NBA 2K13 video games and the Nike short film Human Chain. In 2009, the group supported U2 on their 360 Tour. The band's first full-length American release, It's Not How You Start, It's How You Finish, was issued digitally in 2010.
