Biography

The Griswolds were an Australian indie rock band formed in Sydney in February 2012 by Chris Whitehall and Daniel Duque-Perez. They gained initial traction with their single "Heart of a Lion", which reached Number 12 on the We Are Hunted emerging artists list and was featured as a Triple J Unearthed artist after winning a slot at the 2012 Parklife Festival. The band signed with Wind-up Records in May 2013 and released their debut album Be Impressive on August 25, 2014. Notable songs include "Beware the Dog", which was voted Number 28 on the Triple J Hottest 100 in 2014. Their second album, High Times for Low Lives, was released on November 11, 2016. In September 2020, lead singer Chris Whitehall admitted to sexual misconduct with several underage fans, leading to the band's inactivity.
