Biography

The Goddamn Gallows, a folk-punk band from Detroit, Michigan, was formed in 2004 by Mikey Classic on guitar and vocals, Fishgutzzz on contrabass, and Amanda Kill on drums. Amanda Kill was shortly replaced by Baby Genius. The band's first release was the EP The Gallows in 2004. In 2007, they released their debut album Gutterbillyblues in their own GBC Records label. In 2009, the lineup expanded with Joe Perreze on banjo and TV’s Avery on accordion and washboard, resulting in the album Ghost of th’ Rails in 2009. Perreze was later replaced by Jayke Orvis. Subsequent notable albums include Broke, Down, and Dirty (2010), 7 Devils (2011), The Maker (2014), Life of Sin (2016), and The Trial (2018). The Goddamn Gallows are known for energetic live performances, including Wacken Open Air in 2016.
